Transforming Warehouse and Transportation Operations using Oracle EBS R12 – A Case Study

A leading warehouse and cargo transportation company based in South Florida, transformed their warehouse operations and cargo transportation by using Oracle EBS R12 Supply Chain solution. Disparate systems and processes are streamlined from end to end, providing best practices inherent in the Oracle Supply Chain schema. Processes from Dock Receipt, Booking, Tariff Rating, Bill of Lading, Stuffing, and Loading Containers to the final Invoicing are now seamlessly integrated, driving process efficiencies across enterprise. Skybridge also designed various interfaces for their 3rd party vendors including Hazcheck and Border Patrol.

The Oracle solution reduced dependencies on these external vendors, providing savings of up to $250K per annum to the customer.

The company now uses the Oracle system in its entire operation of receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping at its 5 warehouses.

Oracle solution has cut down order picking time by 25%, decreased receiving time from 8 hours to 2, and provided robustness and flexibility in the warehouse and transportation operations.

This case study will highlight the solution provided, methodology and its approach in making this implementation a success.

Cost Optimization as a Cloud Migration Strategy

Gartner is reporting a steady increase in the inquiries about canceling maintenance agreements with software providers. With the cost of software support and maintenance increasing annually, it is important to understand that there are options beyond software publisher provided maintenance. In this presentation, you will learn about:
- The state of the software support industry
- How third-party support works
- Things to consider before moving to third-party support

Simplify Master Data Management with a Tool Based Solution

Master Data Management (MDM) is critical to any Organization, regardless of its size, which has multiple business processes that utilize Master Data elements. MDM creates a ‘Single Source of Truth’ and effectively drives these business processes. Organizations often lack an effective MDM strategy that results in poor Data Quality and poses a serious risk, especially as data volumes grow.

This session will discuss Chain-Sys’ appMDM tool, which provides a comprehensive end-to-end MDM solution that can be leveraged for specific domains such as Customers, Suppliers, Items etc., and can be rolled out incrementally providing a cost effective and easy-to-manage solution to institute governance around Master Data.

The appMDM tool consolidates master data from multiple sources into a Central Data Hub using pre-configured Templates. A Master Data Governance Group controls the MDM process with built-in work flow functionality & approval processes, and allows for easy Data Integration between the Hub and multiple Source Applications.
