Customer Success Story - Citizens Inc. SaaS Cloud Transformation

Come and hear a true SaaS Cloud Transformational story from BIAS Corporation, an Oracle Platinum Partner headquartered in Atlanta, GA. Citizens Inc., an insurance holding company based out of Austin, TX, was working with a dated mainframe system; no budgeting or reconciliation platform; and heavily relied upon manual processes & Excel for much of their financial operations and reporting. This led to long processing times and impacted their overall financial close. Citizens planned their transformational journey focused on achieving four main goals: 1. Streamline financial processing 2. Improve internal controls & reconciliation processing 3. Decrease the Business reliability on IT. Oracle and BIAS worked together to design a tailored strategy proving to Citizens that not only was Oracle ERP, EPM & HCM Cloud the right solution for them, but it was also very affordable, configurable and can be implemented using a faster, modern approach.

Oracle EBS Security and SSO Use Cases

Oracle EBS Security is more vital today than ever before, since Equifax breach. Oracle EBS Security demands Single Sign On(SSO) for user security. Welcome123 and Oracle123 are the most popular weak passwords in Oracle EBS. IT Security Audits such as SoX, HIPAA require SSO implementation. With SSO, EBS Password reset calls to Helpdesk are greatly reduced. Users don’t have to remember dozens of passwords for Oracle EBS.

We will be having a dialogue today with OATUG members… with the intent of providing a better understanding of the SSO landscape today, educating OATUG on new EBS SSO Solutions that are cost-effective and flexible to work with Azure AD, Okta, Microsoft AD/ADFS, OneLogin, Shibboleth, Siteminder, and IBM Tivoli AM.

Extending MOAC and Translations for EBS R12 Customizations

This session addresses how E-Business Suite’ Multi Org Access Control feature is implemented for our Shared Service Center usage in Latin American countries leveraging single responsibility for multiple operating units. It discusses about how we addressed non-availability of MOAC in certain standard applications, and then how we extended our various customization types, viz. Forms, Reports, OA Framework to make them MOAC enabled.
As a second part, it provides how we have translated our existing customizations of various frameworks for ‘Spanish’ language and our recommendations.

We will discuss how RPA can be utilized in conjunction with Oracle to meet business objectives, while preserving your organization's resources. We'll demonstrate the capabilities of RPA and how you can utilize its automation with Oracle EBS and Cloud. We'll also share how to select pilot processes that will provide quick wins for your organization, and how to build a roadmap.
Objective 1: Understand robotic process automation (RPA) concepts and what the technology can accomplish
Objective 2: Learn how to develop a robotics strategy specific to your organization
Objective 3: Discover how to build a compelling business case for RPA
Objective 4: Understand how to prioritize while planning for a pilot, how to identify "quick wins", and how to build a roadmap

Credit Card tokenization Financial Impact on Order to Cash

As online shopping increases, merchants are faced with securing card holder data in a time where big breaches are a common occurrence in every industry. The PCI (Payment Card Industry) Security Standards Council requires Merchants to secure data based on standards.
There are various implementations to reduce PCI scope out there… but which one is right for your business? Tokenization is a popular trend, but how does it really work and what is the impact on the finance department? We will explore the process from acceptance of a consumer credit card to the settlement of cash into merchant’s bank account using tokenization and Pont-to-Point Encryption in Oracle EBS.

Oracle Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Journey
Everyone is moving to Oracle Analytics Cloud and OBIEE 12c.   How do you make sure you are not left behind?  How do you get that critical executive buy-in for such an endeavor?  Once you obtain approval, what’s the best implementation approach?  We will walk you through our journey to Oracle’s latest Business Intelligence offerings that began with a Strategy and Roadmap.  The program involved the consolidation of three separate versions of OBIEE and OBIA into one.  The solution included 16 sources, a new data model, an upgrade and a conversion of all Informatica ETL data mappings to Oracle Data Integrator ELT mappings.
We will share tips of how we streamlined the consolidated Data Warehouse and Analytics solution and simultaneously made the solution more flexible and scalable by utilizing the Oracle Public Cloud to support growth in both database storage and application processing.  We will walk you through the best approach to determine what to convert to a new system, what to change and what to eliminate.  We will demonstrate how to obtain and maintain engagement from the executive sponsors through Data Visualization of key performance indicators.  Finally, we will provide tips to ease the transition to managed support services.

Unlock the full value of Oracle EBS Procurement through iSupplier Portal and Spend Classification
Procurement is often viewed as a necessary but non-strategic part of running a business – you need to purchase goods and services, you try to find them as inexpensively as possible, you make your purchase and then pay your vendors. Pretty straight forward. But for companies that spend hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars per year purchasing the business essentials, procurement can be both a huge expense and a key area in which to identify savings.  This session from Data Intensity will focus specifically on 2 Oracle EBS applications that help organizations automate procurement processes and gain better visibility into Procurement Spend.

How many 9's you have on your performance/availability reports doesn't matter when your users are unhappy

You have built the ultimate application environment, redundant servers, redundant storage, and redundant datacenters. You have even patched your application to the latest levels, followed every best practice. Yet, the one thing you don’t know is also the one problem that will get you stuck in a never ending loop of conference calls and meeting…. User performance.  What if you could monitor what the users see, and understand what systems, what web serveries, and even what database calls are slow in responding to user requests. What if you could even drill down and understand what is causing the performance problems? This session will show you how to monitor end user performance, and how to use the same technology to rapidly identify issues that are causing your users pain.

All Cloud…or some Cloud…there is a path that’s right for you!

The cloud can truly transform the way you do business with customers, collaborate with partners, and communicate among employees. However, each company’s path to Cloud may be different from the next and depends on a variety of factors, not limited to just cost and convenience.

Signum will provide an analysis of what factors to consider when establishing a strategic path to the Oracle Cloud if you:

  1. Have a global suite of Oracle Applications
  2. Have one or two Oracle Applications (Ex.  GL, HR, HFM)
  3. Have other cloud applications, no Oracle
  4. Want to connect existing apps to the Oracle Cloud
  5. Just have questions about Oracle Cloud

Whatever your situation, we will discuss the tools and strategies to help you modernize your business in the Cloud.

Signum Group is the enterprise resource planning expert.  With over 20 years of successful projects and over 200 clients, we’ve led and implemented projects across four continents, covering a wide range of industries:  utility, oil & gas, manufacturing and transportation among others.  Our employees have deep, cross-sector experience and industry knowledge to help plan and manage your assets with optimal efficiency and reliability.  We are familiar with the unique needs of a maintenance organization and best practices.

Unlock the true potential of Oracle Procurement “fast”

There is no longer a need to “wait” for unlocking value from Oracle procurement applications.  Contrary to popular opinion, Oracle is moving at the speed of procurement, procurement organizations need to be selective on where they focus first to achieve quick value.  The full suite of Oracle Procurement Cloud helps businesses streamline their procurement processes; having said that, cloud software can be deployed either stand-alone or can be integrated with on-premises applications based on business priorities.  The software deployed can either augment the procurement processes already in use or can enhance a function specific capability.
